I am a long time Libertarian and found great common ground listening to your CSAN discussion with Joel. Especially, the governments labeling of “crisis”, “war” and the like. I also enjoyed the terminology, “privilidged amnesia”, which is certainly what our elected officials suffer. Keep up the great work on school choice/freedom!

  2. Tony Cokes Says:

Your talk with Bernardine at “Our Literal Speed” at ZKM on March 1 proposing U.S. presidential election participation by all global citizens living with U.S. military installations was an inspiring concept. Thought you might find this small article from the Wall Street Journal on the candidates supported by the global electorate to be mildly interesting. Look forward to meeting again.

I am shocked you still exist. If I were you, I would get the hell out of Dodge while I could. I’m just sayin.

you are one sick mother fucker………………….

  5. Kristin Says:

Just wondering how often you give speeches in California…and if you could make some stops out here, please?

I’m pretty much inthralled with the idea of the Weatherman and in my hight school yearbook i used the dylan quote “You don’t need a weatherman to know which way the wind blows”-anyway im a big fan of the movement and all you guys did!

Also: i just thought you should know that young kids still care and are still fighting and resistance is growing among us all over the world. thanks for the inspiration!

  6. Rick Man Says:

You are one vile mother. You should have choked on that silver spoon.

  7. Eric USMC Says:

How is it that you are still walking around? A .308 round costs about 37 cents, produced by
unsatisfied workers with amnesia. I’ll chip in a couple of euros if somebody will whack your sorry ass.

  8. Jimbo Says:

Never heard of you before last week. I was drafted to Vietnam in ‘68; was a conservative Repub for years and now a very liberal democrat. You sound like a good person; courageous too and way ahead of your time. How sad there are so many people that take your words of honesty and concern, and then twist, distort, and misinterpret them. Keep of the good work. The world needs more people like you, who take a stand for common sense, and then have to withstand the onslaught and criticism of all the hatefull people in the country. You should be proud of yourself and your life.

  9. jon Says:

I see a number of marines/military types have made the usual comments. There is nothing honorable nor patriotic regarding what you do for living. You accept money and in return murder human beings—women, children, old men. You don’t discriminate. It is people like you, not Bill Ayers, who are the terrorists, the war criminals and a threat to democracy and freedom. It’s really that simple.

Try picking up a book instead of a gun for a change.

  10. andrew przybylo Says:

    Hey Bill:
As someone who took to the streets in the sixties I applaud your non violent efforts on behalf of the peace loving citizens in this country.
From the postings above, it doesn’t surprise me that the war mongers still exist. If George W. Bush didn’t GET IT back then, well, why should they. The real shame of it all, is that those so called war loving patriots are nothing more then pawns of military industrial corporate machine. War is mostly about money. Human Beings are just expendable commodities.

Off topic, but the person who set up your website apparently isn’t on speaking terms with apostrophes, and so googling for you displays your last name incorrectly. Considering your profession, you may want to speak to your webmaster and get that fixed. :-)

  12. Tom J Says:

    That didn’t display - let’s try this:
META name=”description” content=”Find out what Bill Ayer’s is up to — books, writings, opinions, commentary, feedback, and more.”

  13. Tom J Says:

Much better. Clearly the apostofly has migrated from the UK to the US bia Ian Mayes of the Guardian:

    Hello sicko,
    You should be in jail.

  15. Debbie Carpenter Says:

For the past few years, I have traveled to Canada, Europe and to South America. I have worked vacationed in 44 of these beautiful states of America. I plan to travel much more. But most of my effort has been raising 4 of my children alone, working, and taking care of a few other children. As you, I have taken in children of others with problems. Sometimes I was not able to pay my bills, for years I worked, cared for children, and tried to get 3 or 4 hours of sleep each night. I have enjoyed everyday. I have no complaints. With time and hard work there were great rewards, then there were times when things fell apart and I started over again. I found joy when I had nothing and I give away all that I have when things are good. I know that my ability to work hard and achieve is a blessing. My youngest graduated from high school last year and I moved from Kentucky to New York to begin a new job. I am not sure of my furture, but I am sure that this country is wonderful. When I have people tell me they love Americans but do not like our government, I tell them that I am my government. “We the People” are not just words. I am grateful everyday that I am an American. I am very sad for people who are not grateful for their blessings or understand where they come from. I wish you peace and joy.

  16. Robert Says:

What are your future engagement, I am deeply interested in intercepting you.
But then again, Chicago is not too far away and killing two birds with one stone might be more productive.

  17. tim baker Says:

Were all still running to catch up. I never thought anyone actually bombed anything. You need to work on your interpersonnal communication skills. What did your credits look like in your H.S. yearbook? Anyway, don’t let’m get you down,

  18. tim baker Says:

It’s 4 days with no reply to my 4-26-08 posting. We are waiting to hear about your high school achievements. Remenber, that’s the only time when everyone has a more or less equal chance to compete on on a level playing field.
it’s kind of a big deal if you think about it. Did you work in consessions, drama club, varsity basketball, varsity golf, national honor society, cross country,………etc. ???

  19. tim baker Says:

  20. Al Forsyth Says:

I just returned from a trip to Australia to learn with considerable shock that the breathless and brainless in our media have managed to link you and Barack Obama in a way that is harmful to you both. Amazing. If it helps you in any way, I would like to remind you that in 2001 you were the extremely popular keynote speaker at the annual meeting of the Utah Association of Teacher Educators of which I was the principal organizer. Perhaps learning that you were so well received by educators in the most conservative, “reddest” state in the nation will bring people to their senses and help you stay on an even keel.
    All the best to you.

  21. John Brady (Go flyers!) Says:

I applaud you Debbie Carpenter, best of luck to you, your family and your future endeavors. Mr. Ayers you’re a poor soul, may God have mercy.
